Belarus Championship 2011
The first tournament in Raubichi was held to celebrate the birthday of the founder of the FSB team, Yuri Shabovta. We congratulate Yuri and thank the FSB team for a great time. Although we were unlucky with the weather (the sun only came out at the end of the competition day), that didn't stop the tournament from going ahead with demo runs by riders in different classes.
This time the tournament was unusual, but very interesting and useful, including for the riders themselves. There was no freestyle: the competition consisted of contests for the quality of various tricks, plus a drift battle and a circle battle. The weather was bad and the asphalt wet. This made the required elements in the contests harder to perform.
Some riders passed on their attempts. A lot didn't work out. That didn't bother Arunas much: he did almost everything very well and won. Nikita was a real pleasure to watch: you can see he takes the basic elements seriously and can do them well and confidently. He didn't pass on any attempts, drifted great, circled on the rear wheel, and his coaster and trackstand were simply superb. He just needs to work on his stoppies. With a base like that, he has every chance of becoming a «big rider». Yurban has always stood out for his confidence and clean riding, so third place was quite expected. Kostya Bender circled really well seated and did everything else great too.
The circle battle ended in an uncompromising standoff between Yurban and Vlad Boldov: the guys circled for more than 20 minutes. In the end it was decided to give the win to both of them. The drift battle was also won by Yurban, who dodged attacks very skillfully and was the only one left «alive».
Between the contests and battles, riders on different classes of motorcycles and ATVs performed freestyle routines.
Even the indestructible Kawasaki 636 couldn't withstand Arunas's pace: its gearbox died. Arunas continued the competition on someone else's motorcycle, which didn't stop him from taking first place in many categories and in the tournament overall. All the guys from the PRT team performed. Varenik showed excellent quad skills, doing everything very fast and clean, and together with the PRT guys did a four-up wheelie. Red Bull is probably the best showman: lots of attention to the audience, beautiful and spectacular positions, all fast and technical. Marat Kankadze rode a great freestyle routine on his world's best CRF450 and stood out strongly among the other riders.
Andryukha from FSB surprised everyone: few knew he rides an ATV at the highest level; he showed a great held wheelie and interesting positions on the side wheels. In the «scooter» class Vlad Boldov competed, a very talented and promising rider. Vlad is young but already masters very difficult wheelie positions; it's a real pity his front brake broke and we didn't see a stoppie on a scooter.

Rules
- Riding on the front wheel (Triple Stoppie) after a 30-meter run-up. The distance is measured from the start line, located 30 meters from the line where the run-up begins, to the front wheel of the motorcycle after it stops. 3 attempts are given: in the normal position; in the high chair or 50/50 position (on the tank with legs forward or braced against the shelf, or 1 leg forward and the other to the side); a one-handed stoppie. The highest place goes to the participant who covers the greatest total distance over the 3 attempts.
- Riding on the rear wheel with the clutch pulled in (Triple Coaster) after a 30-meter run-up. The distance is measured from the start line, located 30 meters from the line where the run-up begins, to the moment the motorcycle comes down. The clutch must be pulled in when crossing the start line. The highest place goes to the participant who covers the greatest distance. 3 attempts are given: seated; standing; in the high chair or 50/50 position (on the tank with legs forward, or 1 leg forward and the other to the side). The highest place goes to the participant who covers the greatest total distance over the 3 attempts.
- Slow riding on the rear wheel (Wheelie) over 60 meters: the more seconds spent covering the distance, the higher the participant's place.
- Riding with the rear wheel constantly spinning (Burnout Stander). Stay in a burnout for as long as possible within a designated one-meter zone. The highest place goes to the participant who stays in the one-meter zone the longest.
- Riding around your own axis with the rear wheel constantly spinning (Burnout figure eight) for 30 seconds. Each circle (half of the figure eight) counts. The highest place goes to the participant who completes the most circles in 30 seconds.
- (Speed circle) Performing the circle wheelie trick as fast as possible for 60 seconds. The highest place goes to the participant who completes the most circles in 60 seconds (or before coming down onto 2 wheels).
- (Combo circle) The maximum number of position changes while performing the circle trick without coming down onto 2 wheels. The highest place goes to the participant who makes the most position changes without repeats and without coming down onto 2 wheels.
- High chair circle. Performing the circle wheelie trick in the high chair or 50/50 position. The highest place goes to the participant who completes the most circles.
- Sit circle. Performing the circle wheelie trick seated (without controlling the motorcycle's angle with a foot to the side). The highest place goes to the participant who completes the most circles.
- Riding on the rear wheel with no hands, standing or seated (No hands wheelie). The distance is measured from the start line, located 30 meters from the line where preparation for the trick begins, to the moment the motorcycle comes down. Hands must be off when crossing the start line. The highest place goes to the participant who covers the greatest distance.
- Power slide for 20 seconds without putting a foot down. Drifting without using the front brake for 20 seconds or until a foot touches down. The highest place goes to the participant who completes the most circles.
- (Circle battle) All participants perform the circle wheelie trick (circling on the rear wheel) simultaneously for as long as possible. The highest place goes to the participant who keeps performing the trick the longest.
- Burnout moto battle. All participants ride simultaneously on 2 wheels with the rear wheel constantly spinning, in the high chair position (sitting on the tank with legs forward), in a designated sector where physical contact is allowed. Participants who stop the burnout or fall are eliminated. The highest place goes to the participant who lasts the longest.
