Free Ride Session 2026

Summer 2026 in Moscow passed without any stunt riding competitions, so the September Free Ride Session became especially interesting for both riders and spectators.

The event took place at the Mosgortrans motorcycle school. Nikita Pokusay was the organizer, while we supported the event financially. Our colleagues from StuntTech provided a brand-new stunt pit bike as the first-place prize, which gave the riders something worth competing for.

The competition took place over one day and included the Open class (scooters, pit bikes, mopeds) and PRO class (motorcycles 600 cc and above). Based on the qualifying results, the ten best riders advanced to the finals to compete for the prizes.

During the breaks, there was an awesome quad show by Grigory Taldykin, who also competed in the event, and a Harley show by Alexander Andreev. After the finals, Nikita Pokusay held contests for the slowest and fastest wheelie.

The most impressive runs in the PRO class came from Pavel Choporov, Gleb Zharkov and highly experienced, decorated pro rider Foma Kalinin. The judging panel included decorated American pro rider Aaron Twite @aarontwite, who judged the competition via an online video call in real time and demonstrated an exceptionally high level of expertise despite the challenging conditions.

Pavel Choporov pulled himself together after a hard crash in qualifying and delivered the best freestyle run of his career: fast, packed, stylish, with great tricks and plenty of intensity. He showed an excellent set of stoppies including kangaroo and high chair, top-level wheelie combinations, and long, flowing drifts.

Gleb Zharkov, at just 17 years old, became the breakout rider of the competitive stunt scene. His first competition — and straight into second place. Interestingly, his qualifying run was even better: he landed all his tricks cleanly, although he did not attempt a shuffle 360. Overall, the speed, difficulty and pace were all at a very high level. The young talent delivered a huge performance and created plenty of buzz.

Foma Kalinin performed a relatively simple combination from his usual trick set and took first place despite a very hard crash during a shuffle 360. Foma's tricks carry so much value and his overall freestyle level is so high that even the penalty for the crash was not enough to keep him from winning the competition.

Experienced pro riders Denis Rybalko and Grigory Taldykin showed their usual trick sets. Grigory rode in a spectacular and energetic style, although with some mistakes. Denis competed on someone else's motorcycle, but still managed to perform his simplified routine cleanly, which was enough for third place.

Daria Kharchenko competed in the PRO class and made it through qualifying. She added a beginner-level stoppie, a cool headstand and a switchback burnout.

The Open class featured some very bright and diverse performances. Judging this class is especially difficult because riders compete on scooters, pit bikes, mopeds and small-displacement motocross bikes. The riding techniques and trick sets differ significantly, which makes the freestyle runs completely different from one another. 

Open Class results:

Konstantin Chernousov competed in both classes. He took first place on a Honda Grom in the Open class and fifth place on a Yamaha R3 in the PRO class. 

In the final run, Egor Shishlov performed an extreme backflip on a pit bike. He finished second and was one of the brightest participants of the event. He also put on a show aboard a Muravey motor scooter.

Anna Fedoseeva competed in the Open class for the first time on a Kawasaki Z125. Her freestyle run was cohesive and well connected, making it look as though an experienced pro rider rather than a debutant was performing. She only lacked more difficult tricks to fight for a higher position.
