Snow Chains

Motorcycle snow chains are designed for riding on snow and ice, and you can also ride on mud and asphalt with them. Chains are a great alternative to studded tires for low-speed winter rides. They are easy to fit without tire changing and are sold ready-made for different wheel sizes.
- When using snow chains, observe the speed limit: the maximum speed must not exceed 90 km/h.
- Monitor the chain tension and tighten the chains as they loosen.
- Chain service life depends on speed and road surface. Riding on dirt and asphalt causes increased chain wear.
- To prevent corrosion, wash and dry the chains after use. For long-term storage, soak the cable in liquid engine oil.
- Do not use chains whose link wear (even on one link) exceeds half at the point where the links touch.
- Do not use chains whose link thickness (even on one link) at the point of contact with the road is less than 1 mm.
We didn't manage to do a full test ride this winter, but we did get some riding in. The video will come later!
