125cc Scooters PSC 2015

07-08-2015 - 09-08-2015

Polist stunt community is probably the most progressive in the world today. They take first places in most European tournaments. Poland has at least four top level riders, and dozens of high level ones. And it's not only due to the stunt popularity in Poland, but also to the sports system. The Polish National Championship is divided into three classes and demonstrates the method of preparing a young stunt rider.

Scooter category

The youngest participants compete in the "scooter" category. Scooter is the most affordable motorbike for children. It allows you to safely do a lot of stunts, unlike a small pit-bike, which is smaller in size, costs more and is not suitable for many stunts. Many ride without gear and do not get serious injuries. You can watch the Damien Kreller's performance, he took first place in Warsaw. This guy does confident stoppies 180, wide spins with changing the position, and basic acrobatic stunts, which is a good start for a stunt rider.

125сс category

Participants over 16 years old perform in the 125cc category. In this category, only the Honda CBR125R was mainly presented, there were two more KTM Duke 125. This motorcycle makes it possible to safely do almost all professional stunts, apart from a variety of drift, and to perform a full program. CBR125 is better than a big pitbike or a motocross bike for learning stunts, because its base, wheels and suspensions are alike with the sportbike 600cc, and it's much lighter and safer. Stunts techniques are almost the same. In order to transfer all the stunts from 125cc to 600cc, 1-2 seasons are enough, and as a result there's a rider of at least the European level.

Rafal Kanik is one example of the Polish training system. He started with a scooter, then a CBR125R, and now competes riding the ZX6R with world-class experienced pro-riders. At his 21, Kanik is breathing down Marcin Glowatsky's neck, and consistently takes top places in competitions. Rafal rides a large motorcycle only two full seasons, and he is already a top rider. There's an article about 600cc category performance - don't miss it!
