Big Fuel Tank for Enduro

Yamaha WR450F is one of the most popular off-road enduros thanks to its reliability, technology, excellent suspension and rich stock equipment. A standard tank is often not enough for a full trip, so everyone takes a canister or a bottle of gasoline with them. An oversized tank can also be a solution. We installed an IMS tank, which is 2.5 liters larger than the standard one. This tank will also fit the YZ450F and YZ250F.

The seat needs to be cut to install the tank and we do not recommend using a template because it will create too much clearance between the tank and the seat. It is better to cut off a centimeter less - this will make it as tight as possible.

Also the fuel pump mounting bolts from the IMS kit do not fit WR450F 2021, because they have bigger diameter and are too short. We used OEM bolts with washers and spring washers to reduce the thread length to fit the holes in the IMS tank, as they are not deep enought.
