Category «A» Exam

Changes to licensing for two-wheeled vehicles are being actively discussed. A category for scooters is promised first, and then category «A» may be split by motorcycle power or displacement. Given the growing number of accidents, the reforms look quite logical and useful. The exercises in the category «A» exam don't match modern conditions of riding a motorcycle in city streets.

Of everything the candidate is required to do, only the «tight figure eight» and the «slalom» look useful. At a minimum, in our view, the exam lacks «emergency braking», a «large-radius figure eight at speed» and «rear wheel lock-up». You definitely need to learn and get your license, but you shouldn't «take the test» the way the hero of the video does!
