Uncorking Yamaha WR450F 2021

We got a new WR450F 2021 and had time to shoot the uncorking and a comparison with the 2020 model (a separate video on our channel). Uncorking includes shortening the throttle stop and removing the intake restrictor (airbox) and the exhaust restrictor (muffler).

After uncorking, it’s recommended to upload a new fuel map via the mobile app. But there is no map for the WR450F 2021 on the official Yamaha website. There is only a map for the 2020 model, which should not fit because the new WR has a new cylinder head: combustion chamber geometry with steeper valve angles, more aggressive cam profiles, a higher compression piston with low friction rings, a longer connecting rod and a larger exhaust head pipe connector. We decided to wait for the appropriate fuel map.
